20153009 Valouze

A lovely country walk down to a pretty little stream, the Valouze. I wanted to practice some of the techniques I learnt (learned?) at Alvecote Wood. Such a peaceful location. Until the blackberry pickers turned up with their over-heated dog - which promptly splashed into the stream and chased everything away - but it enjoyed itself at least!
Butterfly
Rather ragged Silver-washed Fritillary
Dragonfly
Pretty little dragonfly - I was lucky he eventually stopped for a rest
Damselfly
Male Demoiselle
Damselfly
Plenty of damselflies, in all manner of colour and size, out today
Damselfly
Depth of field a bit off, but what a lovely little creature.
Valouze
Pretty little stream
Fritillary
Silver-washed Fritillary having a drink
White Admiral
A rather batter specimen, but anything that wants to pose, I'll snap it.
Fritillary
A lovely specimen of a Silver-washed
Wasp
A very pretty wasp. Or perhaps a bee.
Blue
Other than knowing this is a blue, I've no idea what sort it is.
Blue butterfly
They're reluctant to spread their wings for me. Much patience needed to wait for them to oblige, I guess.
Fritillary
This Silver-washed was happy to pose for me, which I was grateful for.
